Talenti tritati: Kvyat è fuori anche dalla Toro Rosso, arriva Gasly a Sepang

Adesso ha bisogno di un bravo psicologo, come chiunque prenda due volte il benservito in 16 mesi: in regressione vertiginosa, ridimensionato nell’autostima per effetto della retrocessione da Red Bull a Toro Rosso nel 2016 per fare spazio a Verstappen, oggi Daniil Kvyat è estromesso a favore di Gasly. Del quale Franz Tost dice:

È la legge durissima della caserma che è diventata la Red Bull. Che trita i cervelli e distrugge le ossa. Chiedere a Liuzzi, Bourdais, Speed, Buemi, Alguersuari, Vergne.
Kvyat un asso non è mai stato. Ma neanche una pippa. Per quanto favorito dagli sponsor all’epoca dell’esordio alla Toro Rosso, dopo tre anni di Formula 1 paga soprattutto un calo tecnico e psicologico che si ripercuote oggettivamente sui risultati del 2017. Sempre Tost:
For a variety of reasons, some of them due to technical problems, but others being mistakes of his own making, Daniil Kvyat has not really shown his true potential so far this year, which is why we are standing him down for the next races.
In numeri: in classifica, 48 punti Sainz, 4 lui; come miglior qualifica, sesto Sainz, nono lui; come miglior piazzamento, quarto Sainz, nono lui. E poi vaccate varie, strike di Alonso e Verstappen alla partenza a Spielberg, drive through e 2 punti sulla superlicenza a Silverstone per l’incidente con… Sainz! A tutto c’è un limite.
